HOLDER'S HEROES

I went through all the commons, uncommons, and starter deck cards and came up with "Mix and Match" brigade options for Type 2. Here's how it works:

• Pick an offensive color
• Pick a defensive color
• Add Dominants and multi-color cards
• Add the recommended Artifacts
• Add the Lost Souls.
• Add Sites if you're playing a Site deck (or extra Brigade cards if you're not).
• Shuffle and play!

It should hopefully be this easy, we'll see how it works.

Follow up:

I have built all of these brigades for use with Sites. I highly recommend you start with Sites, because it really does help your defense. If you don't like Sites, or choose not to use them, some colors might be different. I will have recommendations for not using Sites, and other cards to add in place of the Sites, but Sites are what I'm accounting for. Also, I've got some recommendations for offenses and defenses (kinda like a Chinese Zodiac). So, without further ado...

Recommendation:

• Conversion and ignoring demons with some banding and interrupting. Gabe’s always good too.
• Shouldn’t really have any trouble using any defenses. Watch out for crimson with silver sites.
• Holy of Holies, Chariot of Fire, and King’s Sword are good. Blue Tassels too, but watch out for Altar of Dagon.

Recommendation:

• Interrupt demon immunity, conversion, ignoring males, interrupting, and then doing it all again. Also, you’ve got choose the blocker with Amaziah.
• Good with brown, crimson, gold, and gray, because of Amaziah. Pale green and black are okay, but not as effective.
• Holy of Holies and Altar of Incense are good, as are Chariot of Fire and Blue Tassels. No real need for King’s Sword because of Blood of the Lamb.

Recommendation:

• Probably strongest along with purple. Convert, remove, and kill. Negate if you have to. Abishai to Adino w/ Spear is good too.
• Watch out for black because I usually use red sites with it. Others work well.
• Altar of Incense, Chariot of Fire, and King’s Sword are good. Careful with Holy of Holies and Golden Calf.

Recommendation:

• Convert w/ a little extra warrior class shuffle. Weak against demons, but you’ve got a good combo in Battle Prayer/Highway.
• I would stay away from a gold defense because it uses gold sites. Any other defense would work.
• Moses’ Rod and Altar of Incense are good, as are Blue Tassels and King’s Sword. Careful when using Holy of Holies and Golden Calf w/ Moses.

Recommendation:

• Typical Green with Provisions. Choose your own Evil Characters and then Plague of Frogs or Search first. When not using Provisions, Plague and Benaiah Snatches Spear are great.
• Don’t use with a gold defense because of Miriam and no gold sites because of Paladin. Brown, crimson or gray would work well with Provisions/Plague of Frogs/Foul Spirit, Sapphira, or Job’s Wife/Moses’ Rod. Black or pale green would be fine too.
• Moses’ Rod, Holy of Holies, Blue Tassels, and Altar of Incense all work well. Careful of Golden Calf and Priestly Breastplate. Don’t really need Chariot of Fire because of Midwives or King’s Sword because of Plague of Frogs.

Recommendation:

• This blue is used to choose your own blocker and then play Paying Tribute to allow yourself to draw a card. Baptism is for converting humans, including your own if you used Obedience of Noah and Helmet of Brass is used for Ahimaaz.
• Would work with really any defense. I would avoid Crimson because of Possessing Demon and Gray because it needs Blue Sites
• King’s Sword and Holy of Holies are good as is Blue Tassels and Altar of Incense. Careful with Golden Calf and Altar of Dagon.

• Good with any defense. Nothing really to avoid.
• Holy of Holies and King’s Sword are needed. Chariot of Fire and Tables of the Law are good. Nothing really to avoid, except maybe Altar of Dagon.

• Use red (Bear) or gold (Fallen Warrior) Sites. Abuse Sisera, Simon, and Danites Attack.
• Good with whatever brigade you’re not using as sites.
• Altar of Dagon, Holy of Holies and Golden Calf work well. Careful of Blue Tassels.

• Capture, discard, negate, and stop them from getting a Lost Soul.
• Blue sites (Damascus) are needed for Rezin.
• Watch out for blue because of sites, but everything else should be good.
• Golden Calf isn’t really needed because of Balaam’s Disobedience and the captures, however, I might still use Holy of Holies. Watch out for Blue Tassels.

Recommendation:

• Discard, interrupt, and negate. Use Zimri like no other. Capture, be immune, discard, and band away.
• Silver sites because of Oblivious. If they don’t use silver, throw Oblivious away when using Zimri. Can’t go wrong.
• Watch out with blue because of Possessing Demon and silver because of Sites. Everything else should work. If using white, I’d take something out for King Shallum x2 because of Amaziah.
• Golden Calf is a must, Holy of Holies is good too, but watch out when using Sapphira. Altar of Dagon is aways good.

• Watch out for Blue Tassels, but Holy of Holies, Golden Calf, Priestly Breastplate, and Altar of Dagon are all good.

Recommendation:

• Capture, interrupt, kill, and remove females. The characters are fun too.
• Any Sites work as you can discard access Sites.
• Any color works well too.
• You don’t really need Holy of Holies or Golden Calf because of Rabshakeh/2k Horses and Esau/Slave Trade, but it never hurts. Altar of Dagon is always good, but watch out for Blue Tassels.

Recommendation:

• Discard Heroes, negate, return them to the draw pile, and just end the battle. Get Trickery again with Nadab, band away with Esau and Saul, and abuse name-on-name can’t-be-negated first strike Abner’s Spear with Abner.
• Use whatever sites you like. No way to get rid of them, so be careful.
• Any brigade works well.
• No need for Holy of Holies, but Golden Calf is always good.

Good Dominants and Multi-color

Dominants – 2

Recommendation:

• If you have more Dominants, go ahead and use them. Typically, I don’t play Harvest Time, because of sites, or Glory of the Lord, because I don’t use Solomon’s Temple.
• The multi-colors are just for extra offense. They are not necessary and typically I don’t use any, except maybe Brass Serpent.

Evil Dominants and Multi-color

Recommendation:

• If you have more Dominants, go ahead and use them. I use all 4 evil Dominants in all of my Type 2 decks.
• The multi-colors are almost necessary. Love of Money is good for Choose the Blocker and Lying Unto God is an Artifact discarder. Dance of Death is not necessary, but is still a good addition, especially with Choose the Blocker.
