Hey again! This article shall be about...Cake...moist delicious....No wait...That isn't it...O yes it was Dominants.
Abnormal uses and how to thwart others Dominants, to be exact!
First lets see each Dominants and it's basic function.
Follow up:
Evil:
Good:
We'd like to remind you that Dominants cannot talk to you. If they DO talk to you we strongly urge you to disregard their advice.
Okay, now some of these cards have no true way of being abused or thwarted. Like Guardian of your Souls. But here is how to thwart the rest:
Your Dominants will not threaten to stab you and, in fact, cannot speak.
Now some cool combos with Dominants you may or may not of thought of before.
Burial-based combos:
Have a captured Hero you want back?
Activate David's Harp (Following a rescue attempt holder may select one Hero that is about to be discarded and place Hero on top of owner's draw pile.) then make a rescue attempt, Bury the hero then use David's Harp to put him or her back on top!
Have Son of God and NJ but only one Lost Soul out? Bury their Lost Soul, use Harvest Time or a Lost Soul search card (You played first with some ability) to pull out the Lost Souls card then rescue it with SOG/NJ!
Have a pesky Lost Soul you can't rescue? Burial and Harvest Time will help. A variant on this is to use the "Exchanger" to steal a Lost Soul of theirs, bury your own "Revealer", then use HT. You get a Lost Soul to rescue...and lose one yourself!
CM based combos:
Need a Lost Soul to rescue? If you have a Hero with the ability "When this card is discarded, place in your opponent's Land of Bondage and treat as a Lost Soul." Band to that Hero and CM it. Instant Lost Soul!
Need initiative? CM your own Hero if you need to so you can play your devastating battle winners!
Falling Away combos:
Fall-Away your own "Speed Bump" (or your opponent's) to stop a rescue attempt with 11 cards or more in their hand.
DoN combos:
DoNing your own Artifact so you can do a fun combo (e.g. You have Blue Tassles up stopping capture, and Potiphar's Wife down with Temptation in hand.) is always unexpected, so is using another Artifact killer such as Lying unto God.
DOUBT COMBOS:
None...Naw I'm kidding, I love Doubt.
Placing Doubt in your territory to use for choose the blocker, then playing a shuffle (Blessings for Obedience) card so you can reuse Doubt.
SOG/NJ based combos:
Rescuing "Shuffler" with NJ and SoG some other Lost Soul to stop a rescue attempt.
AotL based combos:
AotL your own Evil Character to make a Lost Soul or gain initiative.
HT:
Shown in other combos above
GoyS: none
Glory: none.
Hope you enjoyed this random trip into the fun world of dominant based combos!
Please enjoy the cake.
